Before becoming a modern state, even before colonization led by the Spanish conquest, the Argentine territory was inhabited by nomadic indigenous communities. The arrival of Columbus in 1492 marked the beginning of the Spanish colonization. The Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata created in 1776 formalized the installation of colonial rule, but the decline of the Spanish empire and its failure in market competition with Portugal and England marked the dismemberment of the Viceroyalty, leading to the process of national emancipation. The revolution of May 25, 1810 devoted to the colony and testing of the first forms of independent government that took place until 1816.
On 9 July 1816 the Congress of Tucumán proclaimed the independence of the United Provinces of South America and issued the Provisional Statute of 1816, the Provisional Regulations of 1817 and the Constitution of the United Provinces of South America in 1819.

MAURICIO MACRI
Mauricio Macri (Tandil, February 8, 1959) is an Argentine sports civil engineer, politician, executive, entrepreneur and leader, who took over as President of Argentina on 10 December 2015. Previously, he was national deputy for the Buenos Aires between 2005 and 2007 and head of government of the same district for two terms (2007-2011; 2011-2015).
Macri was received as a civil engineer at the Catholic University Argentina in 1984.4 working in various companies in the country as Citibank, Sevel and Macri Group itself and was president of Club Atletico Boca Juniors between 1995 and 2008.5 6 With a substantial equity position, he served Macri management positions in the Group, created by his father Franco Macri.
In 2003 he was one of the founders of Commitment Front for Change, composed of Buenos Aires Justicialist Party, the Progressive Democratic Party and Action for the Republic, among other minor parties. In 2005 he was one of the founders of the party Commitment for Change (CPC) in 2008 changed its name Republican Proposal (PRO). He promoted the creation of several electoral fronts, including Republican proposal in 2005, Union-PRO in 2007 and change, with the latter alliance won the presidency in the November ballot
